Get Involved
The Navy League Cadet program depends deeply on parent and community volunteers. We value our volunteers and are always looking for individuals of all talents and interests to help make each youth program a success. Volunteer
There are different ways to get involved with the Navy League Cadet programme at the local level. We can use your help for things like driving cadets to weekend activities or running a canteen for special activities.
-
If you can devote time on a regular basis to the Corps, or if you have special skills (first aid, music, crafts, etc.) you could become a Cadet Instructor. Cadet Instructors are considered part of the Corps staff. If you are interested, there are training courses available for you to become a Navy League Officer.
-
Navy League Officers whose primary duties are to instruct cadets. Officers must be able to attend both regular Monday evening meetings and occasional weekend activities. There is an expectation that you will take training courses offered annually through our Navy League Division.
Any adult who wishes to work with Navy League Cadets MUST be registered and screened by the Branch. This process will include a reference check, a criminal records check and a vulnerable sector check.
